About

EndStep Studios - Ethan Tufts

"There is always a sense of space and depth in his music. The viewer is immersed in a 3D soundscape, that makes the viewer feel like they are part of the scene".

Joseph Martin - Creator of "Below Zero", a student documentary

My formal education came in the form of a Bachelor's degree in music at BYUI, accompanied by a full-tuition talent scholarship. While composing at the college, I also performed in many classical and contemporary ensembles as the principal clarinetist. I have been formally trained in performance on cello, viola, the entire clarinet family, flute, piano, and saxophone.

I have been composing for nine years and have spent that time collecting an immense VST and sample library comprised of acoustic and digitally recorded sounds.

My passions are scoring for both trailer music and video games. This is because I get to collaborate with so many different people, as well as solving the metaphorical rubix cube of music scoring: shuffling, reordering, and then sliding into place all the different objectives the team wants to meet, into a homogenous piece of art.
